TVTN CSR INITIATIVES FY 2024-25

CARE TODAY FUND IMPLEMENTED PROJECTS – FY 2024-25
Care Today Fund, with a CSR grant of Rs. 3,85,32,122/- received from T. V. Today Network Limited, implemented impactful social projects aligned to Schedule VII of Section 135 of Companies Act 2013 under the following Seven CSR categories in FY 2024-25:

ENSURING ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
Under Sub-section (vi) of Schedule VII of Companies Act

In FY 2024-25, a largescale plan was implemented to plant trees, improve the cleanliness and overall aesthetics along the banks of the Shahdara drain at J.J. Colony, Sectors 16A, 17 & 18, Noida and in four government schools in Greater Noida and Dadri, Uttar Pradesh

Constantly maintained 16,000 Conocarpus trees and 160 floating gardens with phytoremediation plants and bio-cords, providing daily care, watering, and cleaning of the surrounding area, whereby maintaining greenery and improving quality of air, water and soil and heightening the aesthetic appeal of the Shahdara drainage project vicinity.
Regularly maintained the growth of about 16,000 conocarpus trees planted along the Shahdara drain, including daily cleaning, disposing wastes and watering the plants.
Procured and placed 1900 tree saplings on site, as part of initiating a plantation drive in four government schools of Greater Noida and Dadri.
Installed 160 floating gardens with phytoremediation plants, bio-cords, and trash barriers to reduce water toxicity, pollutants and curtail floating wastes.
Created employment for seven people.
Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh
Enhanced environmental sustainability by undertaking plantation drive, improving air quality and benefiting over 1000 students and staff.
Significantly improved cleanliness, aesthetics, and greenery in the area, benefiting over 15,000 slum dwellers.
Drastically reduced water toxicity, improved water quality, and curtailed waste flow into the Yamuna River, whereby immensely improving the aesthetic and in sustaining the ecology of the project areas.

PROMOTING EDUCATION
Under Sub-section (ii) of Schedule VII of Companies Act

Care Today Fund implemented the following projects promoting education in FY 2024-25:

Enhanced school infrastructures and students with adequate tools, machines, gadgets and materials immensely promoting education
Installed Water Purifiers/RO Systems: Installed in four government schools in Uttar Pradesh and one Kendriya Vidyalaya school in Delhi, providing access to clear drinking water and benefitting over 1800 students and staff.
Smart Schools: Transformed two Government schools in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh by repairing, refurbishing and enhancing the school with STEM labs, libraries, WASH facilities, and installing sanitary pad vending machines, benefitting 557 Students and Staff.
Gadgets/Jyoti AI Pro Glass Kit for visually impaired: 72 visually impaired children were supported with the provision of tools, gadgets and glass kits and were trained to enhance their learning skills.
Stem Lab, Library and WASH facilities: Established a STEM lab, a Library and a proper sanitation facility, separately for both boys and girls, benefitting over 186 students and staff.

EMPLOYMENT ENHANCING VOCATION SKILLS AND LIVELIHOOD ENHANCEMENT
Under Sub-sections (ii) and (iii) of Schedule VII of Companies Act

Care Today Fund, in partnership with NGOs, implemented the following projects that aimed in providing livelihood support and employment-enhancing skills:

Constructed a Livelihood Centre; developed a livelihood App – Sangha; and trained rural women intensively, enhancing their livelihood skills and enabling them with sustainable income options, whereby contributing substantially towards family well-being.
Livelihood Centre: Constructed a livelihood centre in Kardaitola village, Assam that will serve as a training hub, especially for women, to enhance their vocational skills, enabling them to earn and increase a decent household income. The centre will support skills training of at least 30 women every six months.
Palm Leaf Product-Making: Trained 668 women from 11 Panchayats in Tamil Nadu to create sustainable income through palm leaf products.
Livelihood platform: Developed an e-platform to connect artisan’s handmade products with sellers. The App will benefit all beneficiaries who have been trained under Care Today Fund’s livelihood enhancement project activities so far, i.e., over 1000 individuals.

PROMOTING PREVENTIVE HEALTHCARE
Under Sub-section (i) of Schedule VII of Companies Act

Care Today Fund implemented following projects promoting preventive healthcare in FY 2024-25:

Enhanced healthcare infrastructures, including AIIMS Delhi with the provision of tools, materials, equipment and ambulance for promoting healthcare services even at the remote border villages of Ladakh.
Enhanced All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi for providing accessibility for patients with disabilities, including patients with visual disabilities by installing customized products like braille, railing indicators to identify floor numbers, general signs and maps in braille, portable ramps, sign language videos, wheel chairs, etc., enabling patients to receive appropriate and timely services and treatments.
Facilitated in procuring, fabricating, customizing and handing over a fully equipped ALS–Type D Ambulance, an advance life support certified Ambulance to 21st Bn, ITBP, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir in order to operate for emergency healthcare services in six border villages of Ladakh region.
Organized 140 blood donation camps in 33 cities Pan India, including 6 Mega Blood Donation Camps one each in Delhi, Noida, Kolkata, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh. The project activities included tie-ups with renowned national and local blood banks; identification of venues and obtaining permissions; mobilizing and encouraging mass donor participation through physical visitation and social media platforms; on-ground branding and facilitating in smoothly organizing the camps; providing adequate refreshments and ensuring good health of the donors; and acknowledging the efforts of donor participation through distribution of certificates of appreciation and mementoes.

Drastic reduction on the dependency of differently abled patients on others and empowered them to access various healthcare facilities independently for their healthcare services, without much issues and delays.
Enormously benefitted vulnerable remote populations to receive emergency healthcare services and saving precious lives at their doorstep.
Facilitated quick response for medical support and transportation of critical patients to nearest medical centre/hospital.
Successfully organized 140 blood donation camps across 33 cities in 9 States/UTs, whereby creating mass awareness on the benefit of donating blood.
Successfully mobilized socially conscious 16,257 young individuals to register for blood donation and facilitated in receiving 12,660 units of blood from individuals who contributed eagerly to make a big difference in public health and well-being.
Facilitated in formulating an active donor data for future emergencies across 33 cities in 9 States/UTs at the local blood bank centres.

PROMOTING NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED SPORTS
Under Sub-section (vii) of Schedule VII of Companies Act

During FY 2024-25, Care Today Fund implemented one project promoting nationally recognized sports.

An archery training centre setup in Maharashtra, fully equipped with tools, gear, along with coaching support to recognize and train aspirant archers to represent the country at national and international level.
Committed to nurture young Indian talent, Care Today Fund established a state-of-the-art Archery infrastructure and provided adequate tools and equipment to Model High School, Maharashtra. This initiative has enhanced the training facility and have already inspired young aspirants to join and train themselves, aspiring to become global archers and elevate India’s sporting reputation. 3 of the young archers are National players and another 14 youngsters are actively practicing at the newly constructed venue.

Created a state-of-the-art Archery infrastructure within the premises of the Modern High School, Maharashtra.
Enhanced the Archery infrastructure with adequate tools and equipment.
Boosted training skills of 15 aspirants in archery, enabling them to aim in fulfilling their dream to shine for the country.

PROMOTING DISASTER MANAGEMENT INITIATIVES
Under Sub-Clause (xii) of Schedule VII of Companies Act

During FY 2024-25, Care Today Fund implemented the following projects:

Constructed and installed a rooftop container house, as a pilot project, for a poor family in village Jugurkuchi, Assam, ensuring the family a safe and secure shelter during annual flooding in the area, including safeguarding their immovable and heritage materials without displacing themselves to relief shelters.
Established a flood-relief shelter in Arangamow village, Assam, which will provide safe and secure shelter for at least 100 individuals, who are displaced annually due to incessant rain causing flooding in the areas.
Nalbari District, Assam
Enhanced a house to withstand annual flooding and eliminated threat in the loss of immovable items and heritage materials.
Drastically reduced the trauma of being displaced and uncertainty of one’s future living condition.
Immensely mitigated and provided safe and secure shelter, benefitting large vulnerable communities, who are displaced annually due to destructive flooding.
Created an environment of well-being and hope among the vulnerable and hopeless communities.

PROMOTING RURAL DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES
Under Sub-section (x) of Schedule VII of Companies Act

The need and importance of rural development is a national necessity and has considerable importance in our country, especially to develop rural area as whole in terms of culture, society, economy, technology, sports, health, etc., and develop the living conditions of rural masses.

During FY 2024-25, Care Today Fund facilitated in procuring and providing Fencing (Sports) equipment and gears to enhance a Fencing (Sports) Training Node in Zangli Garrison, Jammu & Kashmir, which was recently established by the Indian Army, as a professional entity. The facility will currently benefit 60 youngsters, who will be trained in two batches of 30 athletes each.
Kupwara District, Jammu & Kashmir
Established and enhanced the fencing node with adequate fencing (sports) infrastructures, equipment and gears.
Supported in providing access to rural youngsters and budding talents to utilize the facilities and evolve themselves into a professional fencing athlete and represent the State/Country in near future.
Established a sustainable training centre, guaranteeing lifetime training opportunity.

LMIL CSR INITIATIVE FY 2024-25
PROMOTING EDUCATION
Under Sub-section (ii) of Schedule VII of Companies Act

Care Today Fund, with a CSR grant of Rs. 4,66,771/- received from Living Media India Limited, implemented the following project promoting education in FY 2024-25:

The Government Primary School, Kasna in Uttar Pradesh was enhanced with safe and clean drinking water system and with the provision of Badminton playing facilities, whereby eliminating waterborne diseases, ensuring good health, maintaining regular attendances and also boosting enthusiasm among students to become more engaging.
Installed a 500 LPH single-phase Eureka Forbes RO/water purification plant/system in the Government Primary School, Kasna, Uttar Pradesh to provide safe and clean drinking water to 422 students and staff.
Enhanced the Government Primary School, Kasna, Uttar Pradesh with Badminton playing facilities, with the provision of related kits and equipment.

Immensely reduced/almost eliminated waterborne diseases with the provision of clean drinking water facilities, whereby maintaining regular attendance, ensuring good health and longevity of the beneficiaries.
Boosted enthusiasm among students with the provision of playing facilities, drastically increasing daily attendance, enhancing the school to become more engaging and promoting holistic education for the students.
